MILK
Our family have been milking cows here since 1968 and we have always aimed to produce quality milk using farming practices that put our cows first.
Our milk comes exclusively from our own herd of milking cows. We strive to give our cows the best quality life because the happier the cow, the tastier the milk! Our cows are bedded up in warm comfy straw sheds in the winter months and are free to graze our fields here during the summer.
We gently pasteurise our milk in small batches in order to remove any harmful bacteria. By heating the milk slowly and to a lower top temperature it means that the quality and delicious taste of our milk is retained. Unlike supermarket milk which is blast pasteurised at a higher heat for a short amount of time therefore impacting on the quality and taste of the milk.
We want to keep our milk as unprocessed as possible meaning we don’t homogenise our milk. This is when the molecular structure of the milk is changed so the cream doesn’t separate and rise to the top. When our milk is left, you will find a super creamy layer at the top of the bottle which is where lots of the goodness is! Just give your bottle a shake to mix it in before you use it.
Our pasteurised whole milk and flavoured milk is available to purchase from our onsite vending machine and you can take it home today in one of our ‘bottles for life’.
